The same in every language: subtitles as SRT and VTT with your own line length, labels for up to 32 speakers, and 6 export formats, though PDF only works for Latin, Greek and Cyrillic letters.
A note under a name says where that language differs. “Not a translation target yet”: you can translate from it, not into it. “Web and app in this language”: the menus come in it too.

- A translation is a draft you check. Fix names in the transcript before you translate.

Which languages can I transcribe?
99+ languages, from Afrikaans to Zulu, listed on this page in English and in their own script. Pick one, or leave it on Detect automatically.
Should I pick the language or let it detect?
Pick it when the whole recording is in one language, and leave it on Detect automatically when you're not sure. The setting keeps your last pick, so check it before you upload.
Can it transcribe a recording in two languages?
Yes. Pick Detect automatically: it detects the language, even when someone switches mid-sentence. Lines carry no language label, so check names and numbers where it changes.
Which languages can I translate into?
Any of 99+ languages, English included. A few languages, such as Zulu, Irish and Igbo, can be translated into English but aren't translation targets yet.
Is PrismaScribe in my language?
The website, the web app and the iPhone app come in 24 languages, from Bulgarian to Ukrainian. The transcript stays in the language that was spoken.
Can I make subtitles in any language?
Yes. Every transcript downloads as SRT or VTT with your own line length. For subtitles in another language, translate it first: one caption per line, without speaker names.
What if my language isn't on the list?
Then we can't transcribe it yet. Some of those languages have a page that names the closest ones we do. Tell us what you need at support@prismascribe.ai.
Can I transcribe in any language for free?
Yes. Free works in every language here: 30 min a month, the first 15 min of each file, no card, plus 20,000 translation characters. Longer recordings need top-up hours or a paid plan. Compare plans.
