Features FAQ

More questions? Write to hello@prismascribe.ai.

What can PrismaScribe do?

It turns a recording into text you can use. Upload a file, paste a link, record in the browser or on iPhone, or send the bot to a Zoom, Meet or Teams call. The transcript comes back in any of 99+ languages, with every speaker labeled and every word timed. From there, make a summary, minutes, a quiz or flashcards, translate it, or export it.

Which features are on the Free plan?

Most of them. Free includes speaker labels, clean-up or verbatim, word timestamps, links and browser recording, the summary, quiz, flashcards, Ask and AI notes (sharing 3 generations a month), translation up to 20,000 characters a month, every export and sharing. It has 30 min of transcription a month, up to 15 min of each file. A paid plan adds custom vocabulary, noise removal, the meeting bot, to-do lists, minutes, drafts, Explain, audio clips and the app's live features.

Which file formats and links can I use?

16+ audio and video formats, including MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4 and MOV. On the web you can also paste a link from YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, X, Instagram, SoundCloud, Facebook, Twitch, Reddit, Loom or Dailymotion, one video per link. Links from Spotify, Google Drive and Dropbox don't work: download the file and upload it.

Which export formats are there?

TXT, SRT, VTT, PDF, Word and Markdown, on every plan. Exports carry your edits, and you choose whether speaker names and timestamps come along. For SRT and VTT you also set the line length and how long each caption stays. A translation exports as TXT, SRT or VTT.

Does it work on iPhone and Apple Watch?

Yes. The iPhone app shares your account with the web. Record on the phone or the Watch, upload from Files or Photos, then read, rename and export there. Live transcription, Live Translate, widgets and quiz practice are in the app only. The app is for iPhone; there's no Android version.

Is my recording used to train AI?

No. Recordings and transcripts are never used to train AI models. They're encrypted in transit and at rest, visible only to you and the people you share them with, and kept until you delete them.
