An interview in Spanish, read in English
A ceramicist talks about learning her craft. Every line keeps its speaker and time, and the idiom at the end reads as English, not word for word.

Talking clay
Spanish to English
¿Cuánto tiempo lleva trabajando el barro?
How long have you been working with clay?
Desde niña. Mi abuela me enseñaba en el patio de la casa.
Since I was a girl. My grandmother taught me in the courtyard at home.
Al principio solo hacía ollas pequeñas, y casi todas se rompían en el horno.
At first I only made small pots, and nearly all of them broke in the kiln.
¿Y qué cambió?
And what changed?
Aprendí a tener paciencia. El barro tiene sus tiempos.
I learned to be patient. Clay works at its own pace.

Spanish video to English FAQ
More questions? Write to hello@prismascribe.ai.
How do I translate a Spanish video to English?
Paste the video's link or upload the file, choose Spanish as the spoken language (or let it detect), and wait for the transcript. Then open Translate, pick English, check the lines and download English subtitles as SRT or VTT, or the text as TXT.
Will it dub the video into English?
No. You get English subtitles and the English text, not an English voice. The video and its sound stay as they are; your player or editor shows the subtitles.
Can I paste a YouTube link?
Yes. Links work from 11 sites, including YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok and Instagram: one video at a time, no live streams. For anything else, upload the file.
How are the English subtitles timed?
Each caption is one line of the transcript, with that line's times and without the speaker's name. That suits a translated transcript; for tight on-screen captions, check and split long lines in your editor.
Can I get Spanish and English in one subtitle file?
No. The side-by-side view of both languages is on screen only. Download the English as its own SRT or VTT, and the Spanish transcript's subtitles separately.
Is there a free Spanish to English video translator?
Yes, within limits. Free gives you English subtitles and text, not a dubbed voice: 30 min of transcription a month, videos up to 15 min, and 20,000 translation characters, counted on the Spanish transcript. For more, compare plans.
